Sirichalerm Savsti (McDang)—Thailand’s most celebrated chef, Hong has worked in some of New York City’s best restaurant’s including Kittichai, Jean George’s Spice Market, Jean George’s Perry St, as well as the 5 star Mandarin Oriental Dhara Hotel in her home town. Before finding her way to the kitchens of New York, Chef Hong was a model and television personality in Thailand, and the face of brands such as Pantene and Nescafe across Southeast Asia. Today, Chef Hong leads the team at NYC's fine Thai restaurant, Thaimee at McCarren. She has appeared on the Cooking Channel, Food Network, and featured in Food & Wine Magazine, and The New York Times. In 2013, Hong challenged Iron Chef Bobby Flay to an exciting Kitchen Stadium duel on Food Network’s, Iron Chef America.
