As a 20-something, one of my favorite things about living in New York are boozy, fancy brunches! Little beats unlimited mimosas and eggs Benedict after a fun night out. Let’s be honest, fighting a hangover with a cocktail never hurt anyone right?!
Anyway, one of my favorite brunch spots – Paradou – is in the Meat Packing district. It’s a cute little restaurant with a lovely back patio perfect for spring and summer and boasts a charming Provence-inspired menu. They are known for their champagne cocktails, which are included in their brunch menu.
For $30, they do a great prix fixe brunch menu -- the food is delicious and unlimited champagne cocktails are included in the price!
I've had both the Eggs Benedict and the Duck Reuben Sandwich - both which are heavenly though the latter is probably on my top five best eaten dishes list which is saying something!
And while I recommend going for brunch, I've also been there for dinner and once again, the food can't be beat. They have an outdoor patio in the back which is opened in the summer (for a little dining under the stars) and in the winter, it's covered and insulated.
So if you're looking for a boozy brunch in the city this upcoming weekend, head over to Paradou. You won't be disappointed. The crisp fall air pairs nicely with seasonal champagne cocktails and hearty brunch dishes and it's a couple blocks from the High Line, which is one of my favorite spots in New York.
Drink and dine to your heart's content and then walk off those calories and hangover around the neighborhood!
